This is album is emotionally devastating. Initially I read these as love songs, but now I hear a story of orange, someone matured and totally jaded to the point of actively grieving pink, who represents every shred of naivete, ignorance and safety stolen away by the cruelty of life. People talk about how this album is like howling into the abyss but for me it's screaming at the gaping holes that I'll never get back. A painful experience, but definitely one worth having. Cnámha
Certainly on the mellower side of instrumental post-metal, almost bordering on post-rock, perfect for when you want something heavy but chill. Beautiful, consistent yet varied, definitely recommended!
PS — Evidently this just went nyp, so grab it while you can… MJ
