The Demos

Marcus Wilson thumbnail
Marcus Wilson Straight outta rural Herefordshire with a sound not unlike early Biohazard, Medulla Nocte were a breath of fresh air on the UKHC scene back in the mid 90's. With a metal edge and interesting lyrics they had enormous crossover appeal and how they were not more widely known is a mystery, these demos were amongst my favourite recordings of theirs. Now someone please re-release their glorious All Our Friends Are Dead 7" and make this band ripe for rediscovery. Favorite track: Drastic Measures - Bleed This Illness.

about

Dug up from the archives, this cassette features 2 of the first ever recordings by hardcore/metal band Medulla Nocte.

On side A, the "Goodbye To Happiness" demo was recorded in 1995 and features the songs "Spat On", "Don't Be A Victim" and "Failed".

On side B, the "Drastic Measures" demo was recorded in 1996 and features the songs "Bleed This Illness", "Choking On Dirt" and "Problem To The Solution".

Most of these tracks were then re-worked and re-recorded to appear on their, now classic, debut album "A Conversation Alone", released in 1998 by Household Name Records.

PLUS, side A exclusively features 2 bonus tracks! "ACA" and "Fun With Crack", both taken from their "The Grudge Remains" demo from 1994!

As the second of our "demo" series, this release lets you own a piece of UKHC history in the old school cassette format.

"The most devastating hardcore metal experience of your sorry lives."

You won't want to miss this.
